Thunderball is part of the National Lottery offer in the UK. It's a weekly game played on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday where players can win up to half a million £ if they hit a first category prize.
A Thunderball play slip is composed by 6 boards -from A to F-, containing numbers from 1 to 39 each. Also, every board has selection of numbers ranging from 1 to 14 which conform the Thunderball.
The prize of each bet of Thunderball is £1.00.
Actually, four Thunderball draws are held weekly, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, being the game offered by UK National Lottery with more draws per week than any other organized by the entity.
The play slip presents 6 boards ranging from A to F. The bets are played by choosing 5 numbers ranging from 1 to 39, and 1 ThunderBall number which ranges from 1 to 14, per board.
Every completed board (5 numbers + 1 ThunderBall number) will be considered a bet. At least one if them is needed for validating a ticket.
There are two ways to participate in ThunderBall:
In a Thunderball draw, 5 balls are extracted from a pool of 39 balls, numbered from 1 to 39.
After that, from a pool of 14 balls (ranging from 1 to 14) an additional ball is extracted. This ball is the ThunderBall and added to the previous 5 extracted balls, will compose the winning combination for the draw.
Different matching numbers, combined with or without the Thunderball, will produce different winning categories. This means that the player doesn't have to match all the numbers to get a prize.
